Benedictine Sister Joan Chittister opened the week-long Interfaith Lecture Series this past summer at Chautauqua with her talk of this title. “The Spirituality of Relationship” was delivered at the Chautauqua Institution on July 30, 2018.
Come view a DVD of her talk, split over two sessions, with time for discussion after each half. “Drawing from her book, Radical Spirit, Sister Joan explained the 12 steps of humility in the Rule of Benedict as an invitation to freedom, authentic living, and the means to shaping a future that honors the common good.”
Sr Joan Chittister is a “maverick” Benedictine nun from Erie, PA, one of the great theologians of our time, and is often referred to as a “outspoken advocate of social justice, peace, and equality.” She is President of the Leadership Committee of Women Religious, as well as Co-Chair of the Global Peace Initiative of Women. To learn more, visit her at her website: JoanChittister.org.
Dates: Feb 11, Feb 25, 2019
