Silent Directed Retreat

When: Saturday, July 20, 7:00 p.m. – Saturday, July 27 after breakfast

Director: Anne Alderman, SSJ

Suggested donation: $540 (members: $500)

Retreatants will be expected to maintain silence. Each retreatant will meet individually with Anne for about half an hour each day. of the full days of the retreat. All meals are included.

God Moving Among Us (Guided Retreat)

When: Sunday, July 28, 7:00 p.m. – Saturday, August 3, after breakfast

Facilitator: Anne Alderman, SSJ

Suggested donation: $390 (members – $350)

God is alive and well – and living among us! The newest scientifiic advances are challenging our ideas of God. Using some of the newest thinking from both science and theology, this retreat will help us today.

Based on the books: Conscious Evolution by Barbara Max Hubbard, The Emergent Christ and The Unbearable Wholeness of Being by Ilio Delio

Nature Awareness: Finding God in Creation

When: Saturday, August 3, 9:30 a.m. – 12N

Facilitator: Holly rockwell

Suggested donation: $15 (members $12.00)

St. Bonaventure wrote, “Each and every creature reflects a different aspect of the creator.” Spend a morning cultivating a deeper awareness of God’s immanence in he natural world.Based on the Igantion awareness examen, let’s explore what nature reveals to each of us.

Holly Rockwell is Program Manager/Outreach at Mercy Spirituality Center in Rochester. She is an Ignation prayer guide ad spiritual director. In 2015, she was certified as a Master Naturalist by Cornell’ University’s Conservation Education and Research Program, She spends lots of time roaming the fields and forests where she finds God.

Living; Fully Now – Guided Retreat

When: Friday, August 9, 7:00 p.m. – Sunday, August 11, 4:00 p.m.

Facilitator: Anne Alderman,SSJ

Suggested donation: $140 (member $120)

So much is happening so fast in the world and in our lives. We are constantly bombarded with negativity and threats of all kinds. This time will give us a chance to consider how we can live our lives fully in the midsst of all that comes at us today.

Pray and Play in the Finger Lakes

When: Thursday, August 15, 7:00 p.m. – Sunday, August 18 after breakfast.

Facilitator: Constance Bickford, SSJ

Suggester donation: $275 $225 (members $255 $200)

During this retreat participants will combine experiences in the beautiful Finger Lakes with reflection time. We will explore Watkins Glen and he Cunmmings Nature Center or another opportunity in this area.

The Way of Wisdom – Guided Retreat

When: August 18, 7:00 p.m. – Saturday, August 24, after breakfast.

Suggested donation: $390 (members $350)

During our lifetime we have seem incredible advances in all aspects of our physical and technological lives. In the process, our social norms have evolved so that science has largely replaced relig ion and self-interest has become our morality. (Thomas Moore in the forward to The Wisdom Way of Knowing by Cynthis Bourgeault) These days of retreat will engage three-centered knowing of the ancient wisdom traditions: the intellectual center (the one we are most familiar with in our culture), the body or the moving center, and the emotional or heart center. We will combine chanting, silent meditation, presentation, and physical labor to help open all three centers and move more deeplyinto life and openne to transformation.
