We ended November with a Giving Tuesday campaign, and later that week launched December with our first appearance at StarShine!
We’ve been realizing lately that we simply have to do a better job of getting the word out about Cobblestone Springs! Being Yates County’s best-kept secret is not as much fun as you might think. We’re shaking off these last few quiet months and getting ready to make 2023 our best year yet!

Preparations for our first appearance at StarShine on December 3 involved creation of a new banner (above) and new printed materials. StarShine included a raffle, with a weekend at Cobblestone as the prize. The lucky winner, out of the 55 tickets sold, was Kate Ferguson Schmidl, a realtor from Canandaigua. Proceeds from the raffle, and from Giving Tuesday, are being shared with Milly’s Pantry, who kindly hosted us for the evening of StarShine. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting to know Milly’s better.
Giving Tuesday, on November 29, was also our first venture into online fundraising. Thanks to generous donations, we offered a dollar-for-dollar match up to $5,000. Although we fell short, the match is continuing, and we are still welcoming contributions! Please consider a year-end gift to help us ensure Cobblestone’s future and bring you retreats and programs you will enjoy. Ten percent of these gifts also goes to support Milly’s Pantry.
Our holiday message, just posted, is a reminder of Cobblestone’s commitment to welcome everyone and encourage us all to share and enjoy the gifts of Community, Creativity, Spirituality, and Nature this season. We are already planning new ways to bring people together to experience the special joy and serenity of Cobblestone Springs. Stay tuned for program announcements coming in January.
May your holidays be blessed with Peace and Love!
Great job Sally! Love the banner…thanks for all your work!
