We are going ahead with programming this fall, hoping there will be opportunities to do outdoor gatherings at the main house, but with backup plans as necessary. Programs will be subject to state guidelines at the time; please call a day or two ahead 607.243.8212 to confirm any planned in-person activity or to receive a link for programs held on Zoom.
Masks are required for all in-person programs!

Classics in Religion—New Season
Cobblestone’s Sunday Suppers–COVID style Aug 30 4-7
Come join us for outdoor games practicing social distancing… We’ll have croquet, ladder ball, corn hole, or whatever you wish to bring! Games will start at 4; dinner about 5:30… prizes for winners!
Bring your own picnic supper and enjoy the grounds, which volunteers have in great shape! Picnic tables will be in the shade or bring a blanket for your family. Enjoy your first social distancing picnic supper on Cobblestone grounds! Share the bounty from our garden and check out our new gazebo. RSVP to: Cobblestone.
Save the date Sept 27 for 2nd supper (with music, we hope)
Edible and Useful Plants: Sept 12 1-2 p.m.
Heather Housekeeper, a certified herbalist known as “The Botanical Hiker,” plans to come to Cobblestone for a hands-on (but COVID-safe) program. We will have a description soon.
Conversations on Race
This continuing discussion group plans to tackle new books on this important issue in the fall.
Resuming Classics in Religion 2020-2021
We hope to be able to continue this popular program beginning in September. We don’t yet know whether we’ll be able to meet at Penn Yan Public Library as in the past, but we’re keeping options open. To launch the season, Leslie Schwartz will present three sessions, “Stories of Life and Death from the Talmud.” She is one of our most popular speakers, and we are excited to welcome her back. Details will follow.
